Re: Paste text in Code Viewer ?

As I understand it Blockly prduces the javascript that produces the Bug code. It would be useful to be able to edit the code even if you can no longer flip between block and code.

The code view doesn't seem very useful.

Re: Using strings to store sequences

Hmmm, that doesn't compile Mike. ERROR: Compile error (we have been notified about this) This remix puts the character sprite into a variable first and that compiles. http://www.codebug.co.uk/explore/codebug/662/show-character-sprite-dimensions-remix/ Running in the emulator shows 4 x 5. Running on ...

Re: Using strings to store sequences

Although the sprite comparison work a treat in the web emulator it fails on the bug! Just loading http://www.codebug.co.uk/explore/codebug/503/stringsequence-remix/ on the bug I see only the RULD appear on the LEDs. No scrolling text. Any ideas? I was wondering, why is the get sprite from block usin...

Re: Paste text in Code Viewer ?

Of course what we want to do is copy from script A and paste into script B which would allow some limited code reuse. Much better would be the ability to include one script in another as a module. Re-mix from project A to start Project B? Not ideal perhaps, maybe the codebug developers will read th...

Re: Paste text in Code Viewer ?

Hi All Is there a way to copy a lot of blocks and then paste them ? Yes, you can copy and paste: If you right click on a block you can duplicate it (and any sub-blocks) and drop the duplicates into your program further down. if you have a section of blocks that you want to duplicate you could first...

Re: Detecting button press during scroll

I think the only way is to do your own scroll string sprite and include your polling in that loop. There seems to be no way to call subroutines, so you are heading for nesting hell. See this example http://www.codebug.co.uk/explore/codebug/642/scroll-and-poll/ Sadly there is no event callback mechan...

Re: Debugging - watch variables

Doh! There is an easier way. get string sprite operates like a stream to convert numeric variables to strings. You can "print" a variable by scrolling it across the LED array. It doesn't seem to be possible to concatenate text and numbers. watch.png http://www.codebug.co.uk/explore/codebug...
